Smart Patience

This is about how to make things happen more effectively. This is about the difference between being successful and not. This is about being efficient when everyone else is in the rut. And most importantly this is about Thinking!

Henry Ford said “The most difficult thing in the world is to think. That’s why so few people actually do it.”

If I can interpret this great thought I would say that it is not simply thinking but thinking with your head that is the most difficult thing in the world. Because there is so much bad programming out there, it is a wonder that we ever get ahead. Consider this, how many times have you had an idea that you thought was great, you shared it with your closest people and they talked you out of it? And what if this was the next Microsoft idea? And what if it was not?

As you have noticed I am not giving you here things set in stone and specific for you and that is because I haven’t met you and I don’t know your situation in detail. Therefore, I can only give you general suggestions of how to improve your situation and what better way of doing that than by thinking, because you are the one who knows best your situation and you are the one who carries your head everywhere you go.

Now, let’s go back to the idea business. Do you suppose that Ford and any other great inventor and business person that we know of had only good times and no rain? Do you suppose that all the successful people out there never doubted their decision? Here is a simple, highly effective and always working strategy that will show you whether you are right or not in any situation and it is simply: Go and test it!

It goes without saying that you will have to think it over and over until you have refined it so much that you feel as comfortable as possible to actually go and test it; and this is where the smart patience comes forward. I have noticed that there are very many good, hard-working people who make very little of their dreams in life and I put it to the fact that they don’t think, they simply follow the suggestions of the crowd. Study hard, work hard and you will be set for life. Well, yes, but no. If you want to be secure for life this may be a working strategy for you, but if you would rather make your dreams come true this is a rather poor approach. I am not saying don’t study – I study all the time and I don’t ever intend to stop. What I am saying is that you have to be extremely picky and careful not to take everything at face value. Rather what you want to do with everything you consider making your philosophy is test it against reality. If it gives you the desired result than it is great and you should keep it for as long as it does. But if it doesn’t, well, there are so many dustbins out there – use them.

The role of smart patience is that what you really want to do in order to be successful is to Use Your Head and Follow Your Intuitions – and even when you make a mistake; that is a great place to learn from, adjust and go successfully on with making it happen. Now is the time for you to start using your head to ask yourself great questions that will lead you towards achieving your goals swiftly and easily.
